RASTER GRAPHICS
Raster graphics, often referred to as bitmap images, are images that are based on pixels. These types of images can be manipulated by programs like Adobe Photoshop.
VECTOR GRAPHICS
Unlike raster (or bitmap) graphics, vector graphics aren't based on pixels. Rather, they are based on points that make up basic shapes. These types of images can be created by programs like Adobe Illustrator.
